The Brush

So far this is the only brush I have used for this painting. It's a fan brush that I cut slightly flat across the top.

First Layer

I am almost done the first layer of painting.

Starting

I am just a few hours in to starting a painting, I have a love hate relationship with this stage. I sometimes feel like it's never going to come together, and then when I stand way back, I feel a little relief.

Festival of Trees

Thanks to everyone who attended the Festival of Trees Gala. And thank you to every one who had such kind words to say about my work. For those who don't know the painting "December"ultimately ended up selling for $15,000 my highest auction price to date. It was an exciting and stressful night for me as the auctioneer insisted in keeping me on stage during the live auction. All the money goes to a great cause (http://www.mentalhealthns.ca/). My thanks to the Keating family who treated me very well throughout the whole process.
